      The ruling support depends on the angles, the output resolution, and the wanted dot shape. 
      The user should be aware of those factors in order to be able to select a suitable ruling. 
      The lowest possible ruling is 31 dpi, the highest possible is 449 dpi. 
       (Note: the Monet dot shape is not determined by a screen ruling but rather by
        the smallest desired dot size measured in microns.)
